this is a video I made some years ago when I was testing Resolume. it is basically just a still image (of an office building in Melbourne CBD). I applied first the "neon glow" effect which turn the image into this green/yellow glowing atmosphere. the movement of light vs. darker glow is animated. next I applied a kind of rutt/etra effect. I forgot the name of that particular effect in Resolume, but it is doing the following: basically is renders the image as points and selects points by their brightness value. these are then thrown into disarray-like up and down movements. very simple, yet effective!
